On FB earlier...

Some fool: You mock and ridicule Christianity so eagerly and easily. What do you feel about Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and other religions of the world that you likely have no clue about? Go ahead and mock them too and be fair. It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise than for a man to hear the song of fools.

Me: I can't speak for others, but I've never known Jews or Muslims or Buddhists or Hindus to try to force other people to abide by their beliefs. Jews and Muslims don't eat pork, but none of them try to outlaw it for those who do. Hindus don't eat beef but never try to outlaw beef consumption. Buddhists don't try to outlaw meat consumption. And I have never, not once, ever met someone proselytizing for any of those religions. In fact, Hindus don't even allow converts, and Jews actively try to discourage people from converting to Judaism. Be more like the Jews and Hindus in that regard, we beg you.

Seriously, I mock you Christians more because of your actions than your beliefs. If y'all just minded your own fucking business and stopped trying to force us to live by your brain-dead rules, I think most of us non-Christians would leave y'all alone.

Were you aware that your anti-abortion crusade violates Jewish rights to free practice of their religion? To them, life doesn't begin until a baby takes three breaths on its own in the world. Before that, it can be aborted if the mother so wishes.

It is not oppression to tell you to mind your own business and keep your stupid religion out of politics! Nor is it oppression to tell you to go fuck yourself.

EDIT: Then this guy started harassing some Muslim guy, so I responded to the dinglefuck again:

You're not the brightest crayon in the box, are you? In Islam, Jesus was a prophet. They don't believe in this nonsense about god raping a child and impregnating her with himself. (Any god that would rape a child is not a good god; it is an evil god.) To Islam, Jesus was just a human being and a prophet. Which makes a heck of a lot more sense than god raping children to birth himself into the world.

Politics are life

Another dinglefrick on FB complaining about TV being too political. Someone pointed out the show they were talking about aired back in the 90's. I added my own two cents.

Me: Life and politics are inseparable. If you think otherwise, you are very privileged.

Him: we are talking about television here bud. Not sure what you’re trying to start.

Me: Not starting anything. Just, TV is a part of life. Everything humans do is political whether they mean it to be or not. Even being anti-political is a political stance. It's like that tweet that pointed out that thinking philosophy is stupid is a philosophy about philosophy.

My point is, TV has always been political, and always will be political. The only people who ever seem to complain about TV being political are conservatives who hate the fact that reality has a liberal bias.

Seriously, as long as there is more than one human being on the planet in the same area or otherwise able to communicate with each other, everything those humans do is going to be political. It is inescapable. If you think the media you consume isn't political, that only means you're seeing your own politics in it. You're like a fish in the ocean, unable to perceive the water you're in, only able to perceive air when you're pulled up into it.

Meanwhile, the rest of us are dangling on conservative hooks, dying for every breath of water we can find in media.

Make racists afraid again

To everyone who doesn't believe in punching Nazis: Like Malcolm X said, non-violence only works if your enemy has a conscience. MLK Junior realized Malcolm X was right about this, and since the FBI was spying on him, they murdered him for it. This was proven in the FBI's own files, discovered by his family suing for the information's release.

So you punch that Nazi. You take soup for your family to protests where fascist cops will be. Clobber Proud Boys. Curbstomp the KKK. Make racists too afraid to express their views, too afraid to let anyone know they're racist. Make them feel lonely and afraid and scared all the time. It's what they deserve for trying to kill people just for existing.
