I'm not talking about the collections jars, though that's probably more of the same idea, just harder for the assholes to get away with stealing from the collections jars.

No, what I'm talking about is when the debit card thing prompts you to pay the store more to be donated to charity, or they advertise for you to add those "feed a family" charity grocery bags to your bill. It's literally just another tax dodge. "Pay us more money and we'll donate it to charity as a tax write off!"

I mean seriously, rich people and corporations, literally the only reasons they ever donate to charity is tax purposes and good PR. It's astonishing you haven't figured that out yet by now.

I mean really, those people don't give a fuck about anything but themselves, they pollute the earth on a massive scale and laugh about it, they only get rich by wage theft and by lying and price gouging customers, and they routinely treat other human beings like dog shit. You know all this, and yet you think they genuinely want to do good things by donating to charity? If they really cared, they wouldn't be such massive infected-pustuled dicks in the first fucking place.

and for the "percentage of your purchase" or "your change goes to" versions, it actually costs them money (a tiny bit) to add the code for that.

Oh sure, it costs them like, $4.38 (one time only) for them to have the I.T. guy add that program in, and then they proceed to make billions in extra profits by using customers to commit tax fraud. And then they probably steal the money they collect anyway, as there's no actual proof that any of the money is going where it's supposed to be going. If the corporations don't report it to the charities, the charities will never know how much they're getting ripped off.
