While I agree with the sentiment of #bornthiswayfriday, that gay and trans people are born this way, and it's not a choice, I also can't help but feel like this argument isn't going to convince the real hard-line anti-GLBTs that we should be accepted. After all, there are lots of people born with deformities, deformities that get corrected when possible. If the hard-liners finally agree that it's not a choice, I doubt that's going to help much. We should work on other aspects, like the compassion angle, and the fact that Jesus hung out with the low people on the totem pole of society back in the day, and would do the same now.

Ha, a Satanist talking about Jesus. Well, he *was* a cool MAN. A human being with a good philosophy. I think he would probably use different terms nowadays than he did back then, were he alive now. "Respect" instead of "love" and so on. Especially since it is scientifically proven impossible to love all of humanity, when human brains can't even process more than 200 people as being - you know - people.

Just to clarify: I'm not saying being GLBT makes us deformed, just that the hard-line anti's will see us as such.
