Uncanny valley

So just now I saw something on Tumblr I feel the need to copy here:

Great quote, but she looks like Max Headroom’s black friend; no way that’s a real human being! There are no flaws at all, therefore that cannot be a real human being. But whether real or not, the lack of flaws makes this person UNattractive to me. I don’t know if I’d go as far as saying this squicks me, but the feeling is similar. Like, she’s in the Uncanny Valley; I’m feeling totally freaked out by this, which is weird; a lot of the things that give other people the Uncanny Valley feeling don’t bother me. But this... this does.
