The difference between a Democracy, which the USA was never intended to be, and a Republic, which is what the USA was set up to be:

To understand a Democracy, imagine you have a country with millions of people. Half or more of these people are Adolf Hitler or similar, the rest are Barack Obama or similar. Do you really want millions of Hitlers to decide what the rules are?

Now to understand a Republic, take the Democracy model above, but imagine that a council of Barack Obamas founded that country and, knowing that there were so many Hitlers, set up a series of checks and balances, a bill of rights, and a constitution to help ensure that the Hitlers would be limited in their ability to abuse the Obamas and other minorities.

Well guess what, people? If you favor Democracy over the Republic that the USA was designed to be, you may as well be voting for Hitler.

I'm weird

I am so weird. I'm American, but use slang and accents from Britain, Australia, Canada, and other countries. I use new, youth-generation slang like BRB and LOL, and I use outdated, Generations A - W slang, things like "by diggity," "dad gum," "whippersnappers," "groovy," and even truly ancient words like "knave," "tally ho," and "wherefore." I wouldn't be surprised if some day a toilet seat from the sky hits me on the head, rendering me incapable of speaking in any language other than Olde Englishe. I can see it now: "Wilcuman la, mine hlafordas!"
