Almost forgot: earlier, I was at WinCo, returning cans and bottles. At another machine, and in my sight, was a woman and two children, daughters I presume. Both looked to be elementary school, the older one possibly 5th or 6th grade. Anyway, this woman was having her younger daughter, who looked maybe 8 at the most, put the bottles in. This wouldn't have been a problem, if the kid or the parent had known what the fuck they were doing (and something worse, later). But neither one had a clue. The kid kept trying to shove them in backwards, when the sign clearly said to put them in neck-first. Even if the kid couldn't be arsed to read the sign, the parent should have. She was looking right at the damn thing, she should have been able to fucking read it and tell her kid what to do. The kid was also making other mistakes, like not waiting for one to finish before putting in another one.
Then, the kid manages to get it perfectly right for at least a dozen or more bottles, then inexplicably forgets how to do it right and starts fucking up again. I saw this, and thought, "Did I just witness a 'monkey typing Shakespeare' moment?"
It gets worse. Some of the time, the kid wasn't pushing the bottles in hard enough for them to get all the way in, so they would get stuck in the machine. The proper solution to this problem is using another bottle to shove it deeper in. Also, some of them were getting stuck because none of the three of them could be arsed to read the damn sign IN LARGE LETTERS telling them to put the bottles in NECK FIRST. But I digress: the reason this is worse is because the kid put her hand in the machine, despite the sign clearly saying that was DANGEROUS. And the parent, who was plainly watching this unfold, did not stop her, did not scold her, did not seem to even realize this was dangerous and that the kid could have lost her hand in a horrible accident BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T FUCKING READ THE GODDAMN FUCKING SIGN, BITCH!
Gods... I wanted to rip that woman's arm off and beat her to death with it. It's times like that I wish this stupid Filter would shut off long enough for me to start screaming at her about how dangerous that is and to either be a decent parent or I was going to call the police right then and there. People like this SHOULD NOT BE RAISING KIDS!!!
