Christianity LOVES cognitive dissonance.

Reading an entry in a friend's LiveJournal, I was reminded that the Christian version of Satan makes no fucking sense at all. If he rebelled against God and is the source of all evil, you'd think Hell would be the sinners' version of Heaven. It's like Christianity is trying to believe both in "source of evil" Satan AND the Jewish "Satan is a prosecuting attorney for God" version of Satan. I guess it makes sense in the sense that Christianity seems to thrive on cognitive dissonance. But still, it's pretty fucked up.
