Person: Dogs and other animals have the miraculous power to sense earthquakes before humans can!

Me: There's nothing mysterious about that. Compared to most animals, humans are fucking deaf. The animals can fucking HEAR the earth starting to shake long before it gets close enough for deaf-as-a-post humans to hear it. Humans are so deaf, compared to most animals, that we don't hear the earth shaking until it's too late.
