Some people, sheesh!
Jan. 11th, 2012 05:25 pmThis woman thinks peanut butter Cheerios should be banned in case her allergic child gets second-hand allergy exposure.
Listen, lady. I understand you love your squirming maggot very much, and want to protect it. But it's one thing to ban smoking, and quite another thing to ban peanut butter. If we banned every damn thing that someone was allergic to, we'd have nothing left to eat. Even cannibalism would get banned, I imagine, because someone might be allergic to other people. Fuck, there are people who are literally allergic to WATER. So no. Get the fuck off your high horse right now and bow to the inevitable fact that the world is a dangerous place. Or better yet, consider the fact that his allergy may well be hereditary and consider the possibility that the human gene pool, which is polluted enough as it is, might be better off without him. By all means, try to keep him safe as much as possible, but you should also prepare yourself for the fact that he may well get some other kid's peanut cooties and die. Trying to ban a food product just because a small percentage of people die horribly when exposed to it just makes you look like a moron. Keep in mind that most foods end up killing people horribly, it just takes a lot longer in most cases.
So yeah, suck it up, and stop being a killjoy.
