Weird is good... usually.

Portland has a lot of weird people in it. That's normally good. But I've been seeing a lot of people, lately, running around barefoot in the city. Speaking as someone who had to get a tetanus shot after stepping on a nail while barefoot in a rural area, all I can think when I see this sort of thing is "WHAT KIND OF A FUCKING MORON ARE YOU?"

Almost as bad are the people wearing those ridiculous foot gloves. Actually, in some ways that's worse. It says "I'm gullible enough to spend more money on glorified plastic socks than on a pair of proper shoes, because I want all the downsides of running around barefoot with all the money-wasting of buying expensive shoes."
