Philip K. Dickhead
Jul. 31st, 2017 03:13 amPhilip K. Dick was a man who wrote about reality not being real, like it was a delusion or something. He started a trend in stories and TV shows and movies of similar crap, like "Everything you know is a delusion because you're really in an insane assylum." I spent most of my childhood so checked out of reality that for all I know, I'm actually in an insane assylum right now and torturing myself with the shittiest, most banal delusions ever. So stories that play off that fear are literally triggering to me, as are mentions of such. (My friend kengr has on more than one occasion "joked" about such, and she's very lucky I didn't shove an umbrella down her throat and hit the Open button.) If I could erase that trope from existence in a way that it never ever returns, I would. And I'd start by burning every single copy of everything Philip K. Dick ever wrote. (And I don't normally agree with book burning.)
Thus, Philip K. Dick can go eat a rotting horse dick. I hope wherever he is now, he's suffering greatly. If I could bring him back to life and torture him to death over and over and over again, I would. (Would that still be murder? I don't care, it'd be worth it either way.) Such are the depths of my intense loathing for the man.
Seriously, the next TV show or movie to use that fucking trope, I'm going to send sandwich bags full of dog shit and cat vomit in the mail to every single one of the writers and producers and directors who greenlit that nonsense.
