(Hitting head against the wall.)
Jun. 21st, 2019 06:16 pmSome facts:
1. Republicans are protesting a bill that would help both the environment and their rural constituents. But these assholes care more about the fact that it'll cut slightly into the disgusting glut of corporate profits.
2. The majority of rural constituents support the bill. So these Republicans aren't even representing their people.
3. A previous such walk-out centered around a tax that would benefit schools.
4. Republicans now have a long and growing history of obstructing the government and NOT DOING THEIR GODDAMNED JOBS THAT THEY WERE ELECTED TO DO!
5. When they DO do their jobs, they vote in favor of pollution, oppression, hatred, and the undermining of society in general.
Because of these facts, non-wealthy people voting for Republicans makes about as much sense to me as would a black man joining the KKK out of a genuine hatred of his own race.
