More LaVey idiocy
Jun. 24th, 2015 08:14 pmI’ve been thinking about Anton LaVey’s advice, “Do not complain about that which you need not subject yourself,” and realized finally what I don’t like about it. On the surface, it sounds good, but if you actually think about it at all, it’s utterly useless advice. I say that because there is nothing, nothing at all in existence, to which you DO need to subject yourself. You need not subject yourself to human beings (you can live in the wilderness and eat rabbits and berries), so don’t complain about people. You need not subject yourself even to LIFE ITSELF. So really, the only thing you CAN complain about, if you follow that advice, is death. But literally anything else at all, you can’t complain about if you follow LaVey’s shitty advice.
