alex_antoninRules in Portland (Oregon) are now changing; vaping in public is now treated the same as smoking in public. Which is nice, because there are a lot of shitheads that try to say vaping is harmless despite the fact that vaping devices are basically portable water bongs for tobacco, and the crap they spew out into the air is literally just tobacco smoke floating around inside microscopic water droplets. IE, tobacco smoke clinging to steam vapor. So your toxic deadly shit is a little moist, big difference.
But it also sucks because telling the smokers and vapers they can’t smoke in public buildings just drives them into the sidewalks, which is not exactly helpful to those of us who don’t want our lungs violated by toxic gases.
I’m in favor of smokers/vapers having their own private enclosed rooms that open to the outside, only the law should forbid them from opening the door except to enter or exit. Maybe then the toxic gases will accumulate like running a car in a closed garage and they’ll all gas themselves to death. That would be a huge improvement.
I mean honestly, it’s not legal to smoke pot in public, why is it legal to smoke tobacco in public? Pot isn’t going to hurt you unless you happen to be allergic, whereas tobacco smoke has all the medicinal benefits of car exhaust, only worse. You’d literally be better off sucking on the end of a car’s tailpipe than sucking your disgusting cancer stick, you sick fuck.
