Nobody deserves to be bullied, yes, but calling someone out for being a bigot, even getting them fired for being a bigot, isn't bullying, it's justice. If we keep reinforcing the lesson that bigotry gets you in Deep Shit, these bigots will hopefully learn to go back to shutting the fuck up. Hating innocent people for who they are and hating someone for engaging in violent hate speech are two entirely different things. The first one is bullying, the second one is not.
And before you go crying about the first amendment, the first amendment only says the government isn't allowed to arrest you for speaking your mind, within reason. As a neutral example, yelling FIRE in a crowded theater when there IS no fire will get you arrested. Making terrorist threats can get you arrested. Those arrests are not a violation of your first amendment rights, they are dealing with a threat. Exposing Nazis, TERFs, rapists, and other violent people is dealing with a threat.
What the first amendment DOESN'T do is it doesn't protect you from any of the other consequences of your words. People are still allowed to ban you from places, to yell at you, to tell your boss you're a Nazi scumbag to get you fired, etc.
Hate speech is violence. Violence should never be excused or tolerated. Attacking people who engage in hate speech - whether verbally or physically - isn't bullying, it's pre-emptive self-defense.
