Talking with normies is torture.

All that, plus normies are generally extremely boring and tedious people to try to be around. They rarely have anything interesting to say, and they all seem to have this weird habit of repeating the same information over and over and over and over again, sometimes reworded but always I'm like "Yes, I know that already. That's the 13th time you've said that very same thing during this conversation which has only lasted five minutes. Please say something new and interesting, or STFU and go away, because right now I would rather chew and swallow broken glass than put up with this torture for another minute."

Seriously, I value a high signal to noise ratio, and high efficiency of conversation. At least 98% of the normies I run across in my life take 20 minutes to say something that would have taken me thirty seconds to say, with 99% of the content of their yakking being just meaningless noise created via an insane level of pointless repetition.

Not to say I don't ever have long conversations. Put me in a room with someone interesting -- a fellow nerd, fellow writer, or just someone who actually knows how to hold an interesting conversation, and we can spend literal hours together in conversation with it breezing by and feeling way too short. But most people I have the misfortune of running into make even a sixty second conversation feel like reliving the entirety of 2020 through 2023 on half speed. No exaggeration, it is literal torture getting trapped in a conversation with people like that.
