Everyone is horrible
Oct. 16th, 2016 08:06 amAbsolutely everyone is a horrible human being I some way or another, no exceptions. I keep trying to convince myself otherwise, but people keep being horrible human beings. Whether it's friends, otherwise intelligent, who believe that vaccines are dangerous or other friends, otherwise good people, saying black people being targeted by cops for genocide need to calm down, no matter how good a person is, they will always inevitably have at least one thing about them that is horrible. Maybe that sweet, kindly old lady poisons cats. Maybe the fire fighter who pulls children out of burning buildings also molests them. Maybe someone who's never done anything wrong secretly thinks Jews are greedy goblins. I'm not even convinced, at this moment in time, that children are even exceptions.
The point is, all human beings are horrible, flawed creatures. Maybe that's why we're all down here in Hell together. Sometimes I think god is malevolent, other times I wonder if we deserve to be down here. Because every time I think someone is good, I find something nasty about their personality or behaviors.
Okay, got off track. My real point is that I should just accept that everyone is horrible, stop being surprised by it, and just be like, "Oh there's your dark side, or one of them anyway. Whatever."
Ah, but who am I kidding? Some things are deal breakers, friend wise. Fascists, for one; I find out you're a literal Nazi, then that's an immediate goodbye. I don't care if we've been friends since grade school (not that I have any of those) and you saved my life from cannibal serial killers once, Nazis can go kill themselves far as I'm concerned.
Clowns, too. If you're a clown, you're no friend of mine if I find out.
