alex_antoninGuns aren't banned in America because the gun nuts care more about being able to murder someone if they want to than they do for human lives. They have no compassion. We saw that with Sandy Hook: if even the murder of children can't convince them to enact gun legislation, nothing ever will because they don't care. They have no empathy or sympathy, no compassion, and no ethics.
It's amusing whenever those people pretend their love of guns is about defending their family. Supremely amusing, because so much of their actions disprove the lie. It's one of those stories they tell people that sounds good and most people won't call them out for it because they can't think of a response to it. But given the statistics of gun deaths, especially by children, among other things, it becomes impossible to pretend that that's anything more than a lie. Because if you own a gun, your family is almost 100% certain to be killed by that gun, no matter how well you think you've locked up your guns, because children are cleverer than adults give them credit for, adults are nowhere near as clever as they think they are, and so it becomes basically impossible to keep a gun out of a kid's hands if the gun is kept anywhere on the property.
It's horrifying how many ammosexuals we have in this country; ammosexuals are people who get aroused by guns and the thought of committing murder with them. They're so obsessed with their guns that they don't care about anything else. They lack compassion to the point where a whole bunch of innocent children get murdered with guns in a mass shooting like Sandy Hook, and all they care about is "don't take mah gun away!"
They're also not very bright. They think their guns give them a chance of winning if the government wants to kill them, which is absurd. The 2nd amendment made sense back in the day, but nowadays, if the government wants to kill you, there's not a blessed thing you can do about it.
Other common excuses that are patently false:
"hunting for food"
LOL right, tell me another one.
"self defense"
Given that, statistically, you're basically guaranteed to die from a gunshot if you own a gun, I cannot for the life of me begin to grasp the attempt at logic with that excuse.
But yeah, that's why: because US's gun policy is written by ammosexuals.
