Yes, but let them also hear of the power of individuals who are not trained as heroes to be heroes, fighting against oppressive enemies without expectation of backup coming, for far too often the world's knights in shining armor work for the villains. Let them hear of the brave men and women who fought against their employers for employee rights and were murdered for it and yet still won. Let them hear about people who rose up against oppressive governments and died to defeat fascism and other especially evil forms of government. Or at least let them hear stories that veil these ideals in metaphor, though probably that veil of metaphor should be so sheer it's almost not there because nobody seems to be able to connect the dots anymore.
