I fucking despise Memorial Day. I hate most holidays, but Memorial Day is a stupider holiday even than the 4th of July. Fuck war. Fuck the military. Especially fuck the US military, every single branch. Murdering brown people in foreign countries for oil and other war profiteering is nothing to be proud of, nothing to celebrate. State-sanctioned murder is still murder, and there's nothing good, noble, or glamorous about being a murderer. You soldiers... you're not a hero, you're just a filthy murdering son of a bitch. Yeah military recruiters are predatory bastards but if you're okay with murdering people for money, the only difference between you and a hit man is numbers. If I had the money to do it, I'd go somewhere very public and burn a flag on Memorial Day. And again on the 4th of July.
